Like a Fine Wine: 5 Actresses Who Are Getting Better With Age

If you thought Catherine Zeta-Jones lit up the screen in The Mask of Zorro, prepare yourself, because she plans to take even hotter roles in the future. At a press conference for her new Harry Houdini movie, Death Defying Acts, the 38-year-old actress assured fans that she hasn’t traded in all her sexier roles for grandmotherly ones.

“In my next movie, which is an untitled movie at the moment, you'll be seeing a lot more of me, put it that way,” she said. “You see, I haven’t actually reached my sexiest point yet.”

Since she’s not the only actress who has gotten better with age, the Ampersand decided to look at five other females – all of them older than Zeta-Jones – who may still be approaching their sexiest points.

Demi Moore. Age: 45.
If you’ve ever tried to explain the term “cougar” to anyone, you’ve probably used Moore’s name. A decade after starring in Indecent Proposal, she rocked a bikini on the beach for Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. And even though the cougar label confuses Barbara Walters, Moore has definitely become the ultimate Mrs. Robinson figure.

Julianne Moore. Age: 47.
Moore, a stunning redhead, has managed to combine sexy roles with Oscar-nominated performances, such as her work in Boogie Nights. And since she's nine years older than her husband, doesn't that give her cougar status?

Jane Seymour. Age: 57.
Seymour has reinvigorated her career by selecting “attractive older woman” roles. In the past few years, the former Bond girl has played a seductress in Wedding Crashers, a sexy psychiatrist in Blind Dating, and a cougar-esque professor with animal-print bed sheets in How I Met Your Mother. Yep, she's 57. Know who else is that age? Rush Limbaugh.

Helen Mirren. Age: 62.
A sex symbol in the early part of her career, Mirren showed that she could still attract the fellas when three comedians battled for her attention at last year’s Academy Awards. And while you might feel odd calling the Queen a hottie, one thing’s for certain – she’s still got it.

Sophia Loren. Age: 73.
Loren, the epitome of va-va-voom, is likely the hottest person over 70 you know. Her risqué photos for last year’s Pirelli calendar prove that she’s still quite confident in her appearance. When you've got a crush on the same woman as your grandfather, you know she's a keeper.
